The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired, so that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration, so that it is a Divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

Trinity

We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – that these three are one God.
Matthew 3:16-17; 1 John 5:6-8

God the Father

We believe in God as absolute and sole Creator of the Universe, and that creation was by Divine action, not through evolutionary process.

Genesis 1:1; John 4:24

Jesus Christ the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four Gospels; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily raised from the dead on the third day.  Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from where He is coming again, personally, bodily and visibly to this earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.  Isaiah 7:14; Mark 16:19-20; 1 Corinthians 15:1-5; Hebrews 7:25; Revelation 22:20; Mark 10:45; Luke John 3:16-17

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and He points people to the work of Christ in their lives.  He came to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.  He is, in a sense, the unlimited life of Jesus manifested in believers.  John 16:7-11; Romans 5:5; Romans 8:15-16;

Salvation

We believe that in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a sacrifice for sin.  Through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, men are therefore saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood. Galatians 3:13-14; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 5:21

Hell

We believe hell is a literal place where no one was ever intended to go, but only Satan and fallen angels, demons.  However, because of man’s rebellion, many refuse Jesus as Lord and by default alienate themselves from God’s love.  After death, the unsaved are immediately under God’s wrath for sin.  Psalm 55:15; Matthew 5:29-30; Revelation 1:18

Heaven

We believe Heaven is a literal place consisting of the redeemed.  Immediately following death, the believer is with the Lord.  It is a place of no mores… no more sadness, no more pain, no more separation, no more grief.  2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 10:20; Revelation 21:1-3

Man

Humanity was created by God for His glory.  We were created to love Him and enjoy Him forever.  Man is a trichotomy, made up of body (physical essence), soul (mind, will, and emotions), and spirit (the eternal part of man.)  Even after death, the eternal part of man lives on in one of two places, heaven or hell.  Sadly, because of sin, we are born with a bent towards sin and sinners by nature.  Genesis 2:7; Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23
